Sizer Technician - Apples/Cherries/Pears

Number of openings: 1 Full Time, year round

Location: Old Station Plant - Wenatchee, WA.

Working Shift: Day Shift

Hours & Work Days: Monday - Friday, Hours and shifts may vary. Some nights and weekends required.


This position is safety sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug test.

Summary: This position will start up, Calibrate, and Maintain Sizing Equipment, Train Optical Operators for knowledge and consistency. Help maintenance track vital PM's for all sizing equipment. Be liaison between production, IT, and packout groups.



  • Must have bachelor's degree or 1-2 years related experience and training.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with Team, Manager, and other departments.

  • Ability to stay engaged and efficiently work with low supervision.

  • Must have basic computer skills

  • Ability to interpret technical instructions.

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Able to travel if needed

  • Must be flexible with working schedule, able to work weekends.



  • Aid Operators in building and maintaining Sizer Programs, Including Sizing, Color and internal programs for each sizer

  • Aid Mechanics in understanding their duties with Sizers and Technical equipment.

  • Training of Operators and Supervisors with consistent information and expectations.

  • Aid Management and Accounting in interpreting and understanding what happens in Production, Build and maintain charts and graphs as needed

  • Be the point person for Stemilt for all Sizer Service Vendors

  • Handle special projects as required

  • Assist in writing SOP's for the Optical equipment operation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
