A growing food company located in Warden, Washington is currently searching for a Shift Manager. The Shift Manager manages and coordinates the facility production operations on an assigned shift to ensure facility objectives are met or exceeded at the lowest cost consistent with operating requirements. The Shift Manager reports to the Production Manager. This position is accountable for the effective operation of the facility on an assigned shift by managing and coordinating the activities of a group of team leaders who lead teams in Production and coordination of Packaging Warehouse, QA, and Maintenance. This position manages and coordinates the activities of the facility to meet operational goals which includes quality, sanitation, food safety, employee safety along with budgeted volumes and controllables. In addition, the Shift Manager must closely monitor internal information gathering and communications systems to evaluate performance of the facility and team members. The Shift Manager will accomplish this task by utilizing the various support groups of the facility. The following groups (departments) are identified as supported personnel to operations: maintenance, engineering, warehousing, quality assurance, purchasing and human resources. Leadership, delegation, coaching and subordinate development are key ingredients to the success of the Shift Manager and the Shift Team. Varying shift assignment, weekend work and overtime requirements in this classification may be necessary to reach operational goals.

Salary range for this position is $60-75k

Qualifications & Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university
-Five plus years related experience and/or training in food plant production
-Knowledge and management of quality assurance processes and standards in relation to food production including good manufacturing practices (GMPs), food safety and hygiene, and proper inspections and testing--from production to final packaging and distribution.
-Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a food manufacturing plant or facility.
-Knowledge of and ability to use office support tools available at the desktop (for example: word processing, e-mail, presentation software, and spreadsheets.)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
